This brewery is just one of the near 250 breweries in the state of California, a significant piece of land discovered during the exploration of the West, especially during the Gold Rush period. One man born during the thicket of the California Gold Rush went by a name known as Buffalo Bill. Born William Frederick Cody, Buffalo Bill got his fame from hunting Bison (which is ironic considering he was a big supporter of conservation efforts later in life), being an Old American West Showman, and gaining a medal of honor while serving in the military. As a showman and actor, he traveled the world depicting his realistic interpretation of the American Western Front, becoming famous in Europe and the Eastern United States. And though not much is known about the brewery with his namesake, we can say that it's always a good excuse to look up a small bit of history in order to know a little bit more about the people who make the beer we enjoy.

11-22-11 - Pumpkin Ale - 2.86, Pumpkin Ale, 5.20%
Cloudy with a chance of pumpkins. That is what you'll get with what seems to be a pumpkin wheat ale. But nothing even hints at this brew containing unfiltered cereals, weird. This drinks like a wheat beer, lighter and sweet with a hint of pumpkin. Medium bodied with a medium viscosity and a half inch foam head and some lacing.
