Fairly choppy poor with a medium Highmont of carbonation action producing a 2/3 inch tall tan colored foam head with a medium high density a fairly creamy texture and a medium amount of retention, fairly hazy appearance with a medium brightness copper glow when held in light no shine, very little effervescent affect no settling no chunky sediments moderate lacing on the glass very acidic and aromatic citrus hop dominated aroma some sweet malt included good amount of buttery and piney notes, smells like a fairly fresh beer with a variety of northwestern hop varieties slight amount of spice included slightly biscuity undertone, above average strength aroma slightly enhances the freshness of the Spears flavor this is a medium bodied Peru with a average amount of carbonation and average viscosity and a slightly above average weight finishes very dry with a slight alcohol bite fairly crisp offers a little bit of refreshments no texture from any sediments, pretty smooth overall sipping beer that's versatile but better for the fall and summer months pretty strong somewhat harsh hop flavor profile very bitter and good amount of pine and floral notes, some sweeter roasted malt is also included as a secondary, long-lasting lingering bitter aftertaste, slight alcohol bite towards a very dry finish, somewhat so be strong citrus flavor throughout fairly strong hop flavor overall, somewhat unbalanced flavor profile with very little malts present
